Variable Weight (VWT) SSI Freediving Specialty course in Costa Brava

Do you want to practice the freediving discipline in which more depth is achieved? Do you want to do it safely?

The SSI Variable Weight Freediving Specialty gives you the techniques to make it possible!

This Specialty teaches the freedivers how to descend with the help of a ballast weight and how to ascend using their own power. Despite being one of the most extreme freediving disciplines, it gives the freediver a fast and relaxed descent, saving most of the energy for the ascent to the surface.

The main techniques in this course are based on breathing, equalisation and flexibility, main aspects for the body to be able to assume the pressure that can be achieved and the descent speed.

The course entails a session with theory and two practice sessions in the sea in which an experienced freediving instructor will lead the students to achieve the perfect techniques.

The duration of the course can be one day or two days, depending on the student's availability.

You will get your SSI freediving Variable Weight specialty certification once you’ve finished the course.
