SSI FREEDIVER freediving COURSE

The SSI Freediver freediving course, equivalent to the PSS Freediver, AIDA 2* or PADI Freediver courses, is a definitive step forward.

We introduce deep freediving and we do it in such unique environments as the Costa Brava, a paradise for practicing freediving in Girona, or the Costa del Garraf, the most privileged coast in Barcelona.

This freediving course is aimed at people who, in addition to all the techniques of the Pool Freediver course, also want to get started in deep freediving, in the sea.

PREVIOUS REQUIREMENTS

To access this course it is not necessary to have previous experience or have any other freediving certification.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FREEDIVER APNEA COURSE

The Freediver apnea course consists of a theoretical part, a practical part in the pool and a practical part in the sea.

During the theoretical part we will study the physics and physiology of freediving to obtain a basis that will help us to understand well the part that we will study later, which will be the different breathing, relaxation and concentration techniques, safety procedures and execution technique for freediving.

During the practical part we will learn the technique that will make us efficient in freediving in the modalities of static freediving (STA), dynamic freediving (DYN), free immersion freediving (FIM) and constant weight freediving (CWT).

The objective of the course will be to achieve a static apnea (STA) of more than 1 minute, a dynamic apnea (DYN) of 30m in length and a constant weight apnea (CWT) of between 10 and 20m in depth.

THE freediving equipment

During the SSI Freediver freediving course we leave you all the equipment. Just focus on enjoying your freedive course and learning.

DURATION OF THE FREEDIVER FREEDIVING COURSE

The SSI Freediver freediving course lasts two days, which can be during the week or weekend.

If you choose the Freediver XL course, the duration will be 3 days, since we add two additional in-depth sessions, so that you finish the course with even better preparation.

There is also the possibility of taking the course privately. In this case, the duration will depend on the needs and objectives of the person taking the course.

LASSDIVE freediving CENTERS

At Lassdive we provide all freediving training in the facilities of our freediving centers in Empuriabrava, in the heart of the Costa Brava, Girona, with the Cap de Creus Natural Park as an immersion area, and at the Club Nàutic Garraf, a a few minutes from Barcelona city, with the Costa del Garraf Natural Park as an immersion area, unless we specify another location in our course calendar.

AND AFTER THE FREEDIVER COURSE?

Once you finish the Freediver or Freediver XL freediving course, you will obtain an international SSI certification that will allow you to train freediving in any freediving center in the world.

Finishing this course with all the requirements will give you the opportunity to access the freediving specialty courses of Monofin, Dynamic No Fins (DNF), Training Tables, Free Immersionn (FIM), Freediving Training Techniques for Spearfishing and Surf Survival, our survival course for surfers, besides letting you access the Freediving Level 2 course.
