NEW FREEDIVING COURSES 2018

We are launching the new freediving courses calendar for next year! Freedive l'Estartit will offer courses for beginners from March to November, like Freediving Pool and Level 1, and courses to continue developing skills and knowledge about freediving, like Level 2, Level 3 and specialties.
Jumping into the freediving world is an enriching experience. At first sight it may seem like an extreme sport, since the popular belief is that skills are developed to descend to a great depth and you learn to hold your breath for as long as possible. However, the fundamental basis of freediving lies in individual mental relaxation. Focusing on the skills and abilities that one already has is what is essential in order to set new personal goals. The initiation in this incredible sport will give you more than you imagine.
If you are a freediving adept and you already have Level 1 and six registered sessions, you can continue expanding your knowledge and skills with Level 2. In this course, the techniques already acquired are perfected and the knowledge about the physics and physiology of freediving are studied in more depth in order to learn new techniques, like the free fall. Achieving good technical skills and acquiring safety measures when freediving is the purpose of this course.
Having acquired Level 1, you’ll have a wide variety of freediving specialties under the SSI standards. Freediving with monofin, with scooter, marine ecology, training techniques for spearfishing ... A whole new world of possibilities at your fingertips.
If freediving is your passion, you have Level 2 and thirty registered sessions and you want to become an experienced freediver, you can join Level 3, the improvement course. This is designed to strengthen the knowledge about the physiognomy of the human body, in order to understand new freediving techniques, such as "mouth fill". Improving skills and performance to dive deeper are objectives to be reached in Level 3.
If freediving becomes is not only a hobby, but a passion and the imperative need to dedicate yourself professionally to this sport takes control over control, maybe it is time to start with the Freediving Instructor course. A course where the training is taught to convey the knowledge, skills and devotion for this incredible sport.
