Freediving and diving in Canarias Islands
Lassdive travels to Canary Islands to do dive and freedive trainings
On this occasion Lluc has been the member of Lassdive Team in charge of the freediving and diving adventure in Canary Islands.
We have been practicing freedive and dive for 10 days in the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
The group departs, as usual, from Lassdive's facilities in l'Estartit, to Barcelona airport, with Tenerife as first destination.
The first stop in the island of Tenerife is Tabaiba, where our diving and freediving instructors don't want to miss the wreck dive of El Pejín, a tug that has served for some time as an artificial reef to help local marine fauna regenerate.
Changing from dry to wet suit and even if temperatures allow it without neoprene, the team continues with their preference for wrecks, and the next dive moves them to Puerto de las Galletas, where another wreck, El Caracol, is located about 400 meters from the harbour.
From Tenerife by ferry, they travel to Gran Canaria, second stop of the trip. On the eastern coast of the island, the instructors decide to go to El Cabrón slope, where you can find some of the most biodiverse dives in the Canary Islands, El Arco Chico, Los Roncadores or Punta de la Sal and after these, tireless, they still visit some wrecks in Las Palmas.
Diving in dry suit, in wrecks, in depth, alternating dives with and without bottle, studying nature, marine biodiversity, this is how we prepare to offer you the best of our waters and our Costa Brava, learning and improving anywhere, absorbing science. We train the techniques of breathing, relaxation and optimization of movements to perform longer and deeper freedives in waters of different characteristics and testing various equipments and we continue working to improve our training techniques in both modalities.
